【 Terms of Service 】
Before commissioning me, please carefully read these terms. If any terms are violated, the commission process may not continue and could result in being blacklisted. By commissioning Choeurie you agree to the terms below.
Agreement
Must be of legal age (18).
Must have usage rights to provided materials.
Must provide credits for third-party references.
Responsible for understanding usage policies.
Agree to provide the necessary information and discuss additional uses or changes after the project starts.
TLDR
PayPal invoices only
Payment options: one-time or 50/50 based on the project size
No full refunds
Includes standard commercial license
1 revision included
Pre-project
The rigger reserves the right to refuse any project.
Invoices are due upon receipt. Failure to pay within the agreed timeframe may result in project termination.
Written descriptions alone are not accepted, except for character creation.
Video references alone are not accepted but can be used with other references.
Process
Work is processed in the order received + deadline, but multiple projects may be in progress simultaneously. Smaller projects may finish before bigger projects in the queue due to this.
Deadlines are encouraged, and clients should give the rigger three months' advance notice when they wish to set a deadline for their commission. Flexibility is appreciated in case of emergencies due to health reasons.
If the client's deadline requires suspending other commissions, a rush fee will be charged if the commission is accepted.
Revisions
One free revision is provided while the commission is in progress.
Additional revisions will incur a 10% fee.
Large changes or redraws after completion will be charged a fee.
"Laundry listing" adjustments count individually.
Technical issues are not part of the revision process.
The project's timeline may be extended due to excessive revisions.
After completion, there is a two-week revision period.
Revisions will only cover subjective or stylized changes that are not essential. Issues such as missing details, bugs, glitches, or clipping problems will not be considered part of the revision process, as these need to be fixed for the model to work correctly.
Payment
The client must make payments through invoices provided by Paypal from the rigger's work email.
The first payment is due on receipt.
When confirming a slot or securing a slot in advance, a non-refundable deposit of 10% is required, which will be deducted from the project cost at the beginning of the work. This deposit is non-negotiable and covers the time I spend preparing in case the client cancels. Choeurie can apply your deposit if the client needs to reschedule. However, if the client needs to reschedule twice, the slot will be forfeited, and a new deposit will be required.
Payment can be made fully upfront for projects, or 50% is due upfront, and 50% is due upon completion.
Refunds
Under normal circumstances, the rigger cannot offer a refund once work has commenced on the project. If the rigger or the client is unable to complete the project, the client will receive a partial refund and any deliverables based on the current progress of the project.
The client must agree not to initiate a chargeback without first contacting the rigger.
Refunds will not be issued once a commission has been completed.
There are no full refunds under normal circumstances.
File Sharing, Redistribution, Tampering, and Licenses
Project deliverables cannot be shared or resold without written consent from the rigger. If assets are resold, the new owner must adhere to the rigger's (Choeurie) Terms of Service.
Live2D and illustration-related commissions may not be altered without written consent. This includes texture atlas/art mesh adjustments if the rigger is the artist of the model. The rigger would prefer to teach the client how to approach such alterations properly for color-altering toggles or alternative texture atlas swaps. Written permission from the artist is required.
By default, all projects include a standard commercial license.
Standard Commercial License
Usage on social media, video, and streaming platforms
Ext. Commercial License
[(base price) x 2 = ext. license cost] Includes everything from the standard licenses.
Grants production rights for digital and physical merchandise.
For Live2D commissions, this does not include rights over the art if the artist is not the rigger. The client must discuss this with the model artist.
Project File Access
Access to project files, including CMO3, CAN3, or PSD, is based on project size and requires unanimous agreement from all involved parties. A heavy fee will be charged.
Showcasing
Choeurie will publish showcases of projects 90 days after completion.
If a project is made public within the 90-day window, the showcase may be published concurrently or later. If not made public within 90 days, Choeurie can post the showcase at their discretion.
Termination
The rigger has the right to terminate a project if the client fails to comply with the terms, fails to complete payment, loses communication, or fails to provide necessary information or materials.
If cutting notes are consistently overlooked, the project may be terminated early to prevent ongoing miscommunication with the third party involved. In such a case, a refund will be issued.
【 Additional Costs 】
Heavy PSD Processing:
Preparation work for models that are not fully cut and organized.
Corrections are included in L2D rigging costs but not for extensive cutting.
Processing for uncut art starts at 200 USD. Price may vary. Consult your artist before requesting processing.
Correction notes*:
Cutting notes for model files may be needed to expand a model's range and increase the rigging quality.
Clients are only charged if correction notes are excessive.
A PSD will be provided for advanced cutting to prevent miscommunication with the artist.
If the artist is comfortable receiving a CSP file for the notes, they will be free of charge. This allows direct notes into the model file using rulers and color coding, making it easier for the artist. Only artists who use Clip Studio Paint can open CSP files.
Priority Fee (Rush):
Skip the queue or request a commission on short notice by paying a priority fee.
The fee is 100% of the base price.
Deadlines under three months for model/rig-based commissions are considered short notice.
Deadlines under three weeks for animation and VBridger-only commissions are considered short notice.
NDA/Privacy Fee:
Currently, Choeurie is unable to accept private commissions except for corporate work.
【 FAQ 】
When do applications open? How do I apply to them?
Currently Cho is only taking commissions through email inquiries. Form applications will not be open for the foreseeable future.
Does my PSD need to be finished?
Yes (there are exceptions but an unfinished PSD will decrease your chances of being accepted). Commissions are evaluated based on the condition of the file. Layer and part setup are reviewed to better estimate rigging time and workflow for the project.
Is there a waitlist? Can I get on it?
No. Slots for the application are only available during a specific window of time. To secure a slot, you must apply or inquire through Rigger Mortis or directly to Choeurie. Please be aware that inquiring via email does not guarantee a slot. Additional slots will become available shortly after the current queue has been processed.
What kind of applications are more likely to be accepted? What makes you choose one submission over another?
Good part separation and well-organized layers enable me to work at my full potential. I also appreciate the freedom to post work-in-progress (WIPs) and stream the model, as it enhances the overall working experience. Additionally, it's reassuring to know if the client will actively use the model, as it's disheartening to see something I've created never being used. Moreover, reputable artists and those I've worked with before are more likely to be accepted, as I know what to expect based on word of mouth from colleagues and previous communications.
